Don’t Download Best Fiends Wins #TheYouTubeAd of 2016
Voted by fans as the ad “That Puts Stars In Your Eyes”
“Don’t Download Best Fiends” was nominated as one of the top YouTube ads of 2016. As one of the only selected videos produced completely in-house (and not with a big agency), we were truly honored to even be nominated, but we are even more thrilled to say we won!
While the Fiends were busy defeating the Slugs, we asked our fans to help us take the crown for #TheYouTubeAd “That Puts Stars In Your Eyes.” We had lots of help spreading the word, thanks to our video stars Kate Walsh, Rosanna Pansino, and Joey Graceffa sharing with their social following, but we can’t thank our fans enough for doing their part and voting. The Best Fiends community is awesome! We couldn’t have won without the amazing Best Fiends family coming together.
#TheYouTubeAd contest, which comes from a partnership between YouTube and The Webby Awards, recognizes the most ‘iconic’ ads. This year, there were 30 ads in six categories, looking for the ad that best “Takes a Stand,” “Puts Stars In Your Eyes,” “Is Your Guilty Pleasure,” “Goes Straight To The Heart,” “Knows No Limits,” and “Says It In Six.” See the other winners here and if you still can’t get enough of “Don’t Download Best Fiends,” watch it again here.
