5 Questions with Xiaxin Hua
1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
I was previously a data scientist leading business intelligence at a social casino games company called Golden Rat Studios in Santa Monica.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
I’m a data scientist mostly supporting our marketing teams. I mainly focus on analyzing performances of all of our marketing campaigns, such as ROAS measuring of our world-class influencer marketing as well as traditional marketing campaigns like radio and TV. I also develop business intelligence tools for the performance marketing team to monitor performances in real-time, such as ROAS, paying user rate and campaign retention from thousands of different sites and ad creatives.
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
The best part of my job is that I have the privilege to work with so many incredibly smart and nice people. Also, not many companies have all these interesting bulk datasets for data scientists to dive in and play around with like Seriously does. It’s AMAZING!
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
Stage 1 Bam…he’s just so CUTE! I can’t find other words to describe him besides cute! My favorite scene is when baby Bam and mommy Bam are together. I even use that as my profile picture in some other games I’m playing.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
I love sport fishing, and I also love eating fish: lobsters, crab, and shrimp are some of my favorites, but I enjoy any seafood. When I’m not enjoying amazing food, you can find me playing with my son.
