5 Questions with Leah Gebler
1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
I worked at a Paramount Studios-based production company Weed Road Pictures, best known for films such as, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, I Am Legend, Hancock, and Lone Survivor. In my time with the company, we produced shows including Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Picard for CBS All Access, as well as Titans for DC Universe. Prior to that, I worked at Creative Artists Agency in the Motion Picture Talent department, helping to manage the careers of actor clients around the world.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
As the Operations Manager in Los Angeles, I do a little bit of everything and anything to keep the office running smoothly – my current focus is on leading the planning and execution of our (exciting!) upcoming office move to Santa Monica. I also collaborate with leadership on HR processes, recruitment and on-boarding, and manage the logistics of local team and company-wide events.
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
Since my position was newly created, there’s so much opportunity to contribute in innovative ways! I love helping to shape company culture and find creative ways of deliberately expressing company values in all the small details.
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
I’d have to go with JoJo – she’s totally fearless, and knows how to get things done! I also love her character’s transformation into those fabulous wings.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
I love to cook (and eat!), try new restaurants, and hike in new places around California. I also follow a lot of pro sports teams with my extended family who are all spread out around the U.S. It’s awesome when we can all get to the same stadium for a game a few times a year to talk trash in person.
