5 Questions with Peter Tokoi
1. Where were you/what did you do before working at Seriously?
I’ve been working with games for over 10 years now. Before I joined Seriously nearly 4 years ago, I was QA Manager at Rovio, and, prior to that, QA lead at Digital Chocolate.
2. What is your current role at Seriously?
I’m currently VP of QA & Operations. In this role, I’m responsible for overseeing the quality assurance efforts for all the projects, submitting updates to different market places and maintaining the materials there, doing a lot of hands-on testing of the products,and, last but definitely not least, overseeing our player support. I take part in the product and update planning, as well as work closely with our tech team. On top of that, I dedicate as much time as possible to coaching others and improving work methods.
3. What’s your favorite part about your job?
My favourite part is the amazing people I have the privilege to work with throughout the company, but especially in my teams. Plus this is a job where every day is different, so learning is a never-ending activity.
4. Who is your favorite Fiend or Slug and why?
My favorite slug is the Pikku’s Halloween version with the casket.There’s something about a cute character trying to be a menacing creature that’s just spot on.
5. When you are not working at Seriously or playing Best Fiends, what do you enjoy doing?
I like to travel whenever possible and spend time with friends. Playing gigs is also a nice counter-balance for work, even though it shares surprisingly similar elements, such as planning, “working for the audience,” and feeling accomplished.
